Pumpkin Pie Cocktail -- Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!!
**As always Please drink responsibly.

Pumpkin Pie Cocktail
1 T canned pumpkin
2 oz half and half
2 oz vodka
1 oz spiced rum

Mix pumpkin and half and half with a whisk --
Pour ice in a glass add vodka and spiced rum, then and pumpkin and half and half mixture and stir well -- enjoy

Add more pumpkin if you want a more pumpkin taste.

For add a dash of Cola and a scoop of vanilla ice cream and blend.

Fondue For Halloween

Halloween at your house? Make it Mexican and have a Halloween Fiesta! Do the good old fashioned Velveeta and Pace Picante Sauce in a Crock Pot or Fondue Pot. Or the other recipe is good old Velveeta and Rotel, yum. Then brown up some taco meat, take 12 corn tortillas, spritz with a bit or a dribble of water, wrap in aluminum foil and put in oven on 250 degrees until needed. Get your lettuce, tomatoes, some guacamole, and set out. Then go to your favorite Whole Foods, or Trader Joes, and get at least 3 different kinds of Salsa, and make a Salsa bar, set out with some great chips and you are ready to go.

Don't want to cook, skip the tacos and serve Taquitos, to dip in the salsa, cheese fondue, and quacamole. Yum.

Decorating With Halloween Spiders - BOO!!

I have 3 or 4 giant spiders that I use for Halloween, and this year was soooo lazy, I didn't even bother to get them out. But --- when I was reading and surfing over at Apartment Therapy I ran across this great pic, and Wow -- was I inspired. I don't think I will go as far as they did. But, I will go as far as an acre and walk back to my storage shed, (with real spiders), and dig out my spiders for my front porch. Big Thank You to Apartment therapy for the inspiration.

Photo Picture Wall -- Super Easy

I found this great photo picture wall over at HGTV. It is done with magnetic paint which you can find all over the internet as well as at Home Depot and Lowes. You can also do it with the Post-it picture paper. It has the same sticky as post-it notes and works great. Then when done peel off and change. Would work great on stainless steel refrigerators, as well as a boring door -- or any wall you want to dress up.

Fireplace inserts for Old Fireplaces

Let's face it--- what to do with old small fireplaces plagues all old houses. The fireplaces are normally too small and the draw may not be too good. So there are the gel candles, regular candles, all sort of things. However, when I saw these colored flames I fell in love. They are from More Than Light, and come in oil, candles, also they make an insert for the Tiki torches. Check them out. Might find something fun for your old fireplace.
